Introduction to the Military Aviation Preservation Society (MAPS) Air Museum In-Person
One of the best kept secrets in the area is a local history museum called MAPS - the abbreviation for the Military Aviation Preservation Society Air Museum located near the Akron-Canton Regional Airport. The museum and its displays contain history at its finest, telling of the histories, not only of the aircraft in the collection, but of many local men and women whose stories are preserved and told, lest they be forgotten. This presentation will give attendees a brief overview of the museum, the histories of a few of its aircraft, some of the heroes that have volunteered with us and, most importantly, the stories of some of the local men and women that served this Nation. Registration for Adults is required.
