Total Solar Eclipse in Rittman ! In-Person
Our presentation will be inside the new library and, weather permitting, we will venture into the courtyard to safely view the eclipse. We will discuss animal behavior during an eclipse as they prepare for darkness in the middle of the afternoon! Our presentation will help students understand the Earth-sun-moon system to discover which conditions are necessary for a total solar eclipse to occur right here in Rittman, Ohio! Jim Trogdon and Harvey Landis, Field Station Managers, Morton Salt Environmental Education Lab, and Christine Lorence, STEM teacher, Coventry Schools, will be your presenters. Special viewing glasses will be provided. Registration is required for grades 4-12.
