Calling All Crafters! We want to showcase the many talented crafters and artists here in Wayne County! Whether you’re a beginner or a master of your craft (or somewhere in between), we invite you to share your work in our third annual WoosterCrafts display. We have reserved multiple spaces throughout the library to feature the many crafts practiced by the Wooster community.
Submissions will be accepted from May 1-15. Ages 13+ can drop off in the Wooster Adult department; ages 0-12 can drop off in the Wooster Children’s department.
Submission Guidelines are attached as well as listed below. A PDF of the submission form can be found at the bottom of this page.
WoosterCrafts Submission Guidelines
Important dates:
- Submissions will be accepted starting May 1. The deadline to submit a signed submission form and your craft is May 15, 2025.
- The WoosterCrafts Show takes place throughout the Wooster branch of the Wayne County Public Library from June 1-30.
- There will be a gallery opening on Monday, June 2 from 2-3:30 PM PM in the Wooster Conference Room.
- Materials must be picked up by July 15. If materials are not retrieved, they may be disposed of after 2 attempts are made to contact the artist.
What are we looking for? Whether you’re a beginner or a master of your craft (or somewhere in between), whether you’re young or not-so-young, whether you create elaborate works of art or simple practical pieces – we invite you to share your work in our second annual WoosterCrafts Show.
This means our patrons of any age in Wayne County are welcome to submit (up to two) craft projects or works of art. These craft projects can include (but are not limited to): fiber and textile crafts, woodcrafts, paper-based crafts such as drawings/paintings, pottery and glass crafts, jewelry, and visual arts.
All submissions must be consistent with the Wayne County Public Library’s mission to provide an environment that enriches lives and fosters a strong community and should be considered family friendly.
The following categories of display material are specifically excluded: Displays which only serve to advertise active business or commercial ventures; Partisan materials which promote current political candidates, campaigns, parties, or issues; Any items or images containing nudity, violence, intimidation of an individual or group, obscenity (as defined in sections 2907.01 and 2907.31 of the Ohio Revised Code), sexual images, or graphic medical images. Artworks made from materials that emit an odor will also not be accepted.
The WoosterCrafts show is NOT a juried show nor a competition. We just want to display the work of our Wayne County community, from ages 0-105!
How to submit:
Craft and art projects can be submitted to either the Children’s Department desk (ages 0-12) or Adult Department desk (ages 13+) of the Wooster Library from May 1-15. Submissions of materials must be accompanied by a signed submission form.
