The Career Expo Toolbox (Wooster) In-Person

Get ready for success at The Career Expo Toolbox! Sharpen your résumé, interview skills, and professional image while learning job-search strategies, all designed to prepare you for the upcoming Career Expo on May 1 at Wayne College. Participants will feel more confident approaching recruiters, know how to stand out in a crowded room, and walk away with tools to turn brief conversations into meaningful career opportunities.  *Registration suggested!

Employment Jeopardy (with Goodwill and OhioMeansJobs | Wayne County)
Join us for a Jeopardy-style game packed with questions about interviewing, job applications, workplace expectations, and a few surprises. It’s an easy way to get everyone talking and to show how a little preparation can make a big difference. 

Create a Pro Email Account, Successful Job Searching, & Résumé Critique & Writing Tips (with OhioMeansJobs | Wayne County and Wayne County Public Library) 
Attendees will create a professional email account if they do not already have one and learn practical, effective job-search strategies to support their success. Participants will also learn how to create a resume or improve their current one.

Build confidence and sharpen your communication skills through realistic mock interviews with professionals, personalized feedback, and tips to help you present your strengths clearly and professionally. 

Dress for Interview Success – Affordable Clothing Options (with Wayne County Schools Career Center and Goodwill)
Learn what to wear, what to avoid, and how to present a polished, professional image that boosts confidence and helps you stand out in your next interview. 

Engaging with Employers (with WAHARA, Wayne County Public Library, and Westlake Royal Building Products)
In this presentation, attendees will learn practical strategies to make a strong impression on potential employers during a career fair. We’ll cover how to prepare in advance, gain insights into effective communication skills, use positive body language, and ask thoughtful questions that showcase genuine interest. This session will also address effective follow-up techniques.
